Strike Action

                                                                                                                   28th June 2016

Dear Parents/Carers,

Members of the NUT will be taking industrial action because of the lack of funding in education on the 5th of July 2016. The action which is a one day strike will result in class closures at St Joseph’s.

The decision to keep the school only partially open is never taken lightly, but in this instance, where staff have elected to take lawful industrial action, I have no choice but to take appropriate steps to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all pupils.

We are aware that this will inconvenience parents and carers and so I am writing to give you advance notice of the impact of the action on this school.

Due to the numbers of staff taking part in this action the only classes in school on this day will be Blue Class, Rainbow Class, and 4A

Any trips that were arranged for this day will have to be rearranged.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Yours sincerely

Mrs A Gallagher
