Newsletter - 26th May 2016

Hello Everyone

We have reached half term. It has been very busy so I hope the children and all the family get a good rest over the next week and arrive back to school safe and sound. This half term is always the one associated with tests and the children have most definitely tried their hardest. The end of year reports will tell you the progress your child is making using the new language of assessment ‘working below’, ‘working within’ and ‘working above’. There will be an opportunity for you to come and talk to the class teacher if you so wish.

Half term dates

There is no school next week we are on half term from Monday 30th May to Friday 3rd June.  School commences for the second half of the summer term on Monday 6th June.

St Joseph’s Art Gallery:

I am pleased to say that our Art Exhibition was a great success, giving the children a wonderful opportunity to see their artwork professionally displayed. Congratulations to all the children for a fantastic effort, I hope you will agree that their work was marvellous.

If you were unable to attend, there is still an opportunity to view and purchase your child’s framed picture for £7.50. Simply go to the Infants School office until: Monday 13th June

We sold 145 originals, 7 copies, 9 packs of notecards and 18 bags on the day and many more originals since then. If you placed orders for copies, notecards or bags these will be delivered to school on Tuesday 14 June. Once again, thank you to all the children for their hard work, the staff and to you, the parents for coming along and supporting the event so well.

Be Sun Smart
As the weather improves please do not forget to ensure your child is protected from the sun.
